Excursion Included: Rías Baixas Wine Tour

Get ready for an exciting adventure! We'll meet up at Santiago de Compostela's Plaza de Galicia at the designated time. Once everyone is gathered, we'll hop on a minibus and kickstart our Rías Baixas excursion.

Our first stop takes us around Cambados, where we'll uncover the birthplace of Albariño wine production in Galicia. We'll visit the Adega Eidos winery or the Lagar da Cachada, where you'll enjoy a one-hour guided tour of the vineyards and its facilities. Get ready to learn about the entire winemaking process and, of course, indulge in some delightful wine tasting.

Next, we'll head to La Lanzada, the westernmost point of the Salnés peninsula. Here, we'll take in the remnants of a 10th-century castle, a lookout for the feared Viking invaders. We'll also pay a visit to the chapel of Nuestra Señora de la Lanzada, one of Galicia's most renowned chapels.

From La Lanzada, we'll cruise over to the island of La Toja, famed for its thermal traditions. You'll uncover the secrets of its therapeutic waters and admire the chapel of the shells, its façade entirely adorned with scallop shells.

At a charming pier in La Toja, we'll board a boat to explore the famous bateas – platforms used for breeding oysters, scallops, and mussels. To cap off the boat trip, you'll savor a tasting of mussels accompanied by local fruity wine.

Next, we'll return to the dry land and travel by road to Combarro to stroll through its beautiful old town full of hórreos, the typical construction of Galicia and Asturias. Did you know that this town is the origin of the Galician octopus dish? We'll also leave you with some free time to satisfy your appetite in a local restaurant.
